Making Zurich Home 🇨🇭

It's been almost 3 months since I moved to Zurich to start a new life. Leaving Tokyo was not an easy decision, as I was not only leaving a lifestyle, my favorite Ramen Shops, the beautiful streets of Tokyo, my sweet cat and dog, but also my lovely family. But have you ever had that feeling where you just feel like you belong somewhere else? Before moving here, I've always daydreamed about walking around the City of Zurich and exploring the breathtaking landscapes and scenery of Switzerland. So when I finally decided to make this dream a reality, I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I must say that fate has done wonderful work for me, because in less than a month, I was able to settle in nicely.

I remember the moment this 39-year-old Filipino/Spanish guy walked out of Zurich Airport with his luggage, full of hope, dreams, and the belief that this city would be his new home! And despite the gloomy, icy-cold weather, I'm happy and can't help but feel proud of what I have achieved as a new expat in Zurich. I know there are still a lot of things I need to learn about Swiss culture, but for now, I will start with Raclette and Swiss cheese Fondue! Pröschtli!
